Typically, in the UK, clinics charge around £3,000 to £20,000+ for hair transplants. There is a large price difference in price so we are going to guide you in unravelling the price and value of hair transplants.

There are typically three different types of hair transplant surgery that is undertaken with their respective prices:
FUE Hair Transplant Pricing
Our FUE prices are priced on a size of the surface area approach with a rough guide on graft numbers so that patients can quantify the spend. Here is a rough guide:
- up to 500 grafts costs £3,000
- up to 1000 grafts costs £4,000
- up to 1500 grafts costs £5,000
- up to 2000 grafts costs £5,500
- up to 2500 grafts costs £6,000
- up to 3000 grafts costs £6,500 – £7,000 depending on the donor area availability
FUT Pricing
FUT pricing is very similar to FUE pricing with the only difference being a +£1,000 on every graft number. This is because we have higher costs due to more staff that are needed to cut and slither the strip as well as more expensive equipment required.
DHI Pricing
DHI surgery costs are the same as FUT surgery costs. A Guide to Clinic Pricing
There are lots of different prices that vary quite dramatically when it comes to hair transplants. To try and make sense of them, use these principles to assess value.
- WHO is performing your hair transplant. Clinics that charge a higher price typically have a doctor-led approach and NOT a doctor-supervised one. Please check to see which parts the doctor is performing. They should be performing the planning and design of the surgery, administration of the local anaesthetic, punching/extraction and incisions. If any of these parts are performed by a technician, this would indicate a lower cost. We offer a doctor-led approach where our doctors perform all the above parts to ensure our patients receive quality treatment by registered medical professionals.
- How many patients per doctor. Clinics that charge a lower price will typically have multiple patients in the same day that are sign by the same doctor. This is done to make financial sense for the clinic but to the detriment of the patient as the attention of the team is split amongst 2 or more patients on the day so quality control slips. Our policy is a 1 patient per doctor per day approach.
Based on the above 2 principles, you can make an informed decision about which type of service you wish to choose. As the saying goes “you get what you pay for”, not all clinics are created equal. The crux of the matter is to really be careful with clinics that charge a higher price but actually perform a service that is not of the standard of that price and this is where the patients can really feel hard done by.
